- This house was built in 1929 on 6" unreinforced concrete foundation walls and 2x4 walls and rafters. After over 2 years of planning, procrastinating and surprise early arrivals (aka Lola), our house project is under way. We're gutting almost the entire first floor and adding a full second story. The basement is getting some interior drains under the slab as well as a couple new footings and posts to support the new loads.

You have to give me the low down on trench systems... we're going to have to do something with our basement eventually. That's some major work going on though!
