Swing Set

This is part 2 of our fence project - part 1 happened a couple years ago, right before Violette was born, and we just got around to replacing the south side of the fence. We ended up going with the fence guy to build our swing set too, since he did the one next door.
We have a slightly longer span, at 10', vs. 8' next door. This length accommodates an additional swing/hanging bar, etc. and also allows for a future hammock when the kids are done with their swings. Next step is to level out the soil underneath (there used to be a small umbrella tree that we had taken down and had the roots ground up there) and put sod down, but since sod can't be stepped on for several weeks after installation, we will have to wait until the fall.

Hot Water Hose Bib

Remember that post (Nov. 16, 2006) about the hot water hose bib? it has come in very handy, especially this weekend when we brought out the impromptu water slide, featuring our half-inflated pool and our neighbor's super fast slide.

The kids had a blast! Just wait till we hook up a Slip n' Slide!

Our next project at 3039 will be a swing set since both girls are swing fanatics. It will be a 10' span, with 2 posts at each side and a trellis on top. Dugan might make a repeat performance here or it could be the fence guy. Stay tuned.....
