Gypcrete has been poured in the basement, decreasing the head height even more, but now we have a level and waterproof (I hope!) basement. Derek's head still clears it but I think if you're taller than him, you'll have to duck!
We'll have to let it cure for a month before putting down the basement carpeting. Then, it'll be cozy and ready to be a kid's play area and media room.
